'Red Line' is not a limiting rate--just a warning. the RPM limiter cuts the fuel pump. Gotta cut the fuel and not the spark else will instantly blow the exhaust and melt the cats.

Speed limiter on US ECUs is h78 so 240km/h or 149.136 mph. If you hit an indicated 150+, your ECU has no speed limit.

Rev limit is 6700

so like i said, my limiter was removed back in 1997 when i had my computer reprogramed i have been over 160 in the car to verify that the week after my computer came back to me.Thus i presume u r saying @6700rpm i will hit the rev limiter and fuel cut off.

Yep, unless the rev limit has been raised too. Often to 7200.

GPS, timed or radar verified? I think they will go 155 mph also, but really don't know.

Can't understand what base h78 is.

78 hex - the value at address 7FA5 in the stock binary file. It represents the speed in KP/H that the ECU will start to cut off fuel.

A 2000yr or so, blue BMW try to race me on I-5 in my 94 Q45, he pulled up at 80 & I floored it up to 135, he began to lag still side to side at 140 I was car lengths ahead. That was good enuf for me, so I slowed down and he zoomed by. My friend in car at time is only proof, & the ashamed beamer driver body kit and all.
