Meh, I wouldn't do it. Sounds like a gimmick. And why ship to Phoenix from CT? Sounds like take your money and the car would never arrive. For $1,000...I'd want him to drive it to Phoenix and meet in person. Put it to the test. See how many of those 67,000 mile parts would hold up on the long haul. that's what it needs. Sounds like it hasn't ever gone above 50 mph.

Then again I seen the offer for the 1 way ticket, etc. I mean it's probably legit. But sometimes with CL ya never know.

If I didn't have three cars I would check this out. I have 2 96s in perfect condition, I kinda miss the early ones. I had a 90 and a 93.

I understand your cynicism, but the way I see it is a location with a lot of retirees and a car that would purportedly be nostalgic to their professional era.

Either way, an old Q is something I wouldn't mind owning, but at that price, it isn't for me.

I've seen one come down about $2,000 around me as well:

Yeah that could be true...Arizona and NM and Southwest are good areas to keep cars...long as they are garaged. No worries of mold/mildew...but the relentless sun, even in winter...tends to push the pearlescent paint to it's limits. I thought I could get off without getting a paint job anytime soon, but the little things here and there start to get annoying. Not to mention the epic fail trying to remove a baked on K&N sticker next to the rear trunk Emblem.

I can't talk though...I bought my car off craigslist in Phoenix lol. But, I did it on a whim and with very little expectation that I would end up liking it upon inspection.
