Well ya, you wouldn't not ask questions when buying something for that price. Hit him up he left his number.

So I found out one of the coil overs is bottomed out. Low on strength. How long you guys think that'll last.

Im sorry, are these the same BC coils Ivan sold you? If so, those are not new. At any rate, any coil that is semi-blown is not brand new like your ad says. That was my argument. As for putting it on a negative note, if anything, I was trying to help a fellow Nico member on here buy those struts at first, so you should at least be trying to thank me. My info wasn't wrong, it was valid.

You call it attention, i call it false advertising.

x2 you can't state its new in the ad & expect people to believe when one coil is not fully functioning

Exactly there isnt a difference, its the same thing in this case.

I mean do what you want man. Theres really no difference in advertising the truth as opposed to explaining the truth after falsely advertising it. The only difference is you're just wasting yours and the buyers time. Thats probably the reason why everyone who contacted you ended up not buying them. At least you're telling them whats wrong, as opposed to selling as described. I just dealt with a scammer and i gave him so much hell that he ended up refunding me, which doesn't usually happen with CL buyers.

At least label it as used for only a couple 1000 miles with a blown strut, but otherwise they are like new or something. best of luck with the sale.

no offense... but its like saying

"1990 Skyline R34 brand new off the lot with 13 km"

"please note that hte vehicle has dings and dents and misfires, also the odometer has been rolled back"

thats kinda f*** up dude.... Post it as it is... to me if i saw an ad like that and called YOU to inquire about "new" coilovers and hearing you say "one is semi blown" i would make it my mission jsut to meet you and punch you in the face for wasting my time and being like the paypal scams. That s*** isnt for attention....

btw, are these the same coils you bought off Ivan(Elevate)? You never got back to me with that one. Just want to know since one of the metal parts snapped on the coils, but didn't fully break off. If so, you may want to add that in the description or that you got that part welded back together.

Well if he got it from my friend who is a member on here, then I can tell you right now it happened when he got into the unfortunate accident that messed up his front end I believe (or maybe it was his rear). Either way, its due to that and I know he sold a set of BC coils for $300 to Hector (the deal was originally $400 but ended up "short paying" him). But it may be a different set so I dunno.

This dude Hector has been d!ck me around for weeks about buying them. When he finally agrees to ship them out and I sent him the money (Paypal because I'm in Florida) all of a sudden its one excuse after another. Instead of screen shotting the conversation, I'll give you all a few peices of it. This is after he tells me that Paypal won't release the money to him for 21 days, because he isn't verified on Paypal.

Me: Hope we can get this all sorted out soon
Him: Its just waiting idk why waiting is that bad. I have someone willing to buy them but idk.
Me: Waiting isn't that bad, but someone already bought them...me.
Me: I talked to paypal they said you can send the money back but they won't release the money until the item is shipped with a tracking number.
Him: I've decided not to ship anymore after all of this. But I'll give you your money back.

This is just part of the conversation I had with him lastnight, but the bulk of my issue is that we have been talking for WEEKS and agreed upon a price and what not weeks ago. I went to the extent of contacting BC about getting a replacement for the one that is really blown that he is advertisting as being new, and on top of that I am highly doubting that it is "Semi-blown" because he took it to some company in California that said they were unable to rebuild it. Since he was unable to get it rebuilt I figured the best bet was to just replace it and that is what I was planning on doing. Now, I shall sit and wait to see if he has some splaining to do...because I'm pretty pissed.

I think these are the same BC coils he bought from my friend on here who is also a member, Elevate. He was trying to sell the coils for $500, Hector brought him down to $400, but ended up only paying $300 and he told him he'd pay him the other $100 but started making excuses. He probably gave him the benefit of the doubt being a Nico member and all but I suppose that went out the window. Sorry, I know thats not my business to bring up here, but I knew there was something kind of shady about this guy from the moment he sold him those coils.

However, those coils to his knowledge, weren't blown but instead there was a metal part on the coil that was broken and that needed welding. So thats why I could be wrong about whether or not these are the coils. Can you supply a photo of these coils?

Thanks Teggymami. So did you get your money back yet? You may also want to make a separate thread about this in the end to warn other buyers.

she got her money back.
i decided to refund and not sell last minute because of the 21 days PayPal hand my account on hold for being a new user.
and btw this whole thread is really pissing me off, why are you naming a thread after my nico user name? your one guy from the start thats been bugging me. leave me alone dude, we resolved that they arent New of course, and i tell everyone who is interested that its a pair of 3 good and one broken, i am patient and nice with everyone but you on the other hand are a real douche. so much for being nice and shy in person, over nico your just a hater, you need to CHILL OUT.

How do you semi-blow a strut? Is that the same as semi-blowing a tire? Hiring an escort in vegas for a semi-blow (only if it's half price)? Paying a junkie for a gram of semi-blow?

So if a strut is semi-blown, does that make the coilover a semi-set?

Mind blown. Not semi-blown. But like... blown. I don't know what a semi-blown mind feels like.

Yea, I've got some pics that he sent me. I filed a dispute with Paypal, and apparently he did contact them back because I got on my Paypal and it says the payment was reversed. I haven't got the money back just yet but it is processing, thank God.

One of the pics got lost in transit lol, but I think you get the idea. This has definitely been an experience from hell and I will 9/10 just end up buying a set of coilovers new.
