Nhtsa investigating 2003 m45 fuel gauge problems-Recall?

Attention all 2003-04 M45 owners who got stuck with the fuel gauge and sending unit bills! The US National Highway Transportation Safety Administration is investigating this problem for a possible recall! The investigation opened December 2011 and is investigation number PE11038. I highly suggest anyone who lost hard earned money because of Nissan's horrible quality control and as*hole dealers who refused to acknowledge the obvious submit a complaint to the NHTSA's website. Even if you did previously, it may be worth a try once again. Let's hope it becomes a recall and we have some recourse to $ spent.

I provided one of the engineers at NHTSA with information that I had via an email address posted on this forum.
He acknowledged receipt a day or two later.
