You do not have to "rice out" the car to get points. There are some nice looking body kits and wheels. I was playing last night and it has no effect if you decide to add vinals or stickers. You can have a nice clean car with a kit and wheels that gets as much "respect" as a "rice out" car. Plus it's just fun.

Double check, Grafix and decals have no effect, only body mods like kits, lights, wheels and things like that. I don't think paint even matters. I will check again after work to be sure.

It is a fun game. Just leave off the neon lights and vinyl so you won't piss off the "rice" haters.:rolleyes

THEY SHOULD HAVE A WHOLE SET OF CARS FOR THE INDIVIDUAL PURPOSES... IE A WHOLE SET OF DRIFT CARS (240SX, AE86, MIATA, ETC.), DRAG CARS, SPRINT CARS/CIRCUIT CARS, ETC. I'M JUST TRYING TO GET PAST THE PURPOSE OF RICE FOR RESPECT.

OHH AND TO ANSWER THAT STICKER DEBATE. I COULDN'T ENTER A RACE BECAUSE I DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH RESPECT LAST NIGHT.... I PUT ON THE XMOD GRAPHICS AND I COULD ENTER.

Wrong, I checked several times last night. You may have odded other mods that influence you respect level. Deny it all you like but vinals have no effect at all. I don't know what kinf problem you are having but I have no vinals on my car and I added them just to check for you and it made no change. It highlights your meter in orange if a change will occur.

You're both right. It depends on how much you have already. If you haven't done much to it, vinyl will increase it's reputation. And wheels will too, definitely. and bodykits.

the worst thing, as i said earlier, is that you can drift in a dodge neon. Apparently the little things like the fact that the Neon is a FWD car don't matter in this game.

VINALS DO UP YOUR REPUTATION POINTS... IF YOU USE A UNIQUE ONE IT WILL GO HIGHER THAT THE REGULAR GRAPHICS... ALSO MANUFACTURER STICKERS WILL RAISE YOUR REP SIGNIFICANTLY. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME START A NEW PROFILE AND CHECK IT OUT... I HAD A 2 STAR REP IN TWO RACES WITH A FULL BODY KIT AND AS MANY STICKER I COULD PUT ON MY GTI. LIKE I SAID ANYHTING YOU PAY FOR WILL UP YOUR REP UNLESS YOU ALREADY HAVE SOMETHING BETTER ON THE CAR.

Alright for those of who who are actually comparing this game to the GT series, you all are really retarded. This game is no one where near them and it is not trying to. EA said themselves they are trying to go against Midnight club and all the other 'street racing' games. I guess we could all say that the street racing genre, well, can be its own. Apart from the simulators like GT, a sub sub genre. This game is in its own class and shouldnt be compared to GT, theres no point in even thinking about it because you know which franchise is better. It pisses me off that some of ya'll arent being open minded enough and saying it isnt better than GT. Yes, this is a game overflowing w/ rice. But my skyline is clean w/o decals and black rims.

BTW, I have beaten the game w/ my Skyline w/ all mods. I will say this, b4 you beat the game, make sure you have your car looking the way you want, because once your done, you can't change it anymore, also, dont worry about your body kit becuase they make get a widebody one, which looks rather fugly. but get the rims and what not that you want. I love the visuals. And yes, we do have to look out for the fast and the furious game, cuz it is coming. Also, Street Racing Syndicate comes out in the 3rd qtr. of 04 or so i heard.

Again I will disagree. I have the skyline at 5 stars. I took off all vinals and it is still at five stars. I did the same thing with the s2k and and eclipse. I'm not angry but I'm not talking about it anymore.

Its not going down because you already had it. I dont think your meter can go down if youve had it on previously.

I don't know, I don't really care. It doesn't matter, honestly I like some of the grafix. I would never put them on a real car. And is it just me or does the game geat real hard after you get into the Supra 350z Skyline territory. I got my Skyline out there getting it handed to me by celicas WRXs. It's still fun though.

Yes, it does start getting harder when you start getting the better cars. I like the A.I. in the game, they like to hit me and run me off until i have to start the race over. BTW, purging before each race, even just a little tap, will give you 150 style points on top of the head start, so 250 right off the bat.
