I'm looking at buying a new (used) comp, but i don't know if it'll run NFS. I even checked the home page, but no god damn specs. Anyone have any ideas?

For the computer to run a game like that well, it would need a pretty decent speed I think. Not sure what would be optimal, or even what you could get by with, but dont get something that is crap and then try to run games and stuff with it.

to run it? or to run it well... theres a huge difference.. i've played the demo (nee for speed underground) on 2 computeres...

xp 1800+ athlongeforce 4 ti4200

and

pentium 4 2ghzati mobility radeon 9000

both of those computers would not run it the way i wanted it to run. I had to keep it at 640x480 if i wanted all the cool effects.. so, let us know what exactly ur buying.. and we can help u further.

The requirements of the game are 700 MHz , 256 MB of ram and 2 GB of free space, a used pc isn’t a good options

I have about twice the requirements and at times it would slow down for a bit, so getting a used pc will slow the game really down, and you will have to use low quality graphics

But that all depends on what are you buying

with games like this I would suggest any direct x 9 compliant card(ie Radeon 9800) and the more ghz the better and ram also the big thing is the video but also get as much cpu and ram as u can afford,
