Yes indeed. Expected to come out early 2006 and is based on a FM platform. It will be bad-*** and very new. Expect it to look like the new M45 crossbred with the 350Z and G35. Luxury, style and grace is all in the mix. Capable of top speeds north of 140, and possibly possesing 300hp. Guys get ready for the new skyline in the states, it will be set apart from the 350z now. As well, it will likely be under Infiniti and come here "late' 2006. What do you all think?

If your talking about the G35 with a nose job and a skyline plate on the back? Abomination! The Fairlady and the Skyline are and should allways be seperate cars.Diferent chassis different motors.Sounds like the Nissan penny pinchers are trying to capitalize on the brand with out making the car. Nissan stopped making Skylines after the R34. That thing that wears the badge now is unworthy and I fart in their general direction.

My thoughts exactly

now if we were getting a true R35, then ****e, I'd sell my soul for it.

I agree. The skyline is not a skyline without a linear engine. I love the VQ...LOVE the VQ...but you just can't have a Skyline with a V6. And yes...the Fairlady and Skyline have to stay seperated. Oh, and its the R35, not the V36. Contrary to popular beleif, the chassis designation is NOT from the RB series L-6. Some uninformed fool decided to start spreading rumors that it'd be called a V35 since it has a VQ engine. It is from the R-chassis. The skyline had a CA for a while, no one called it the CA30 or anything. No, its and R35. with a 5 not a 6. And it's not a real skyline.

I always wanted to get a GXi (R32 with a CA18) and swap in a hot turbo twin cam Silvia CA to piss-off the RB guys. They only came in four doors though blech!

Hahahaha..The FR32 are quiet a popular car as a drift hack in Japan. But most opt for a SR20DET transplant to piss the RB guys .Unlike the HCR32 or BNR32, the FR32 comes with four lug wheels and rear drum brakes, something to look into when going for serious power.

Why would that piss off us RB guys?......Putting a lower potential motor in a heavier car then the S13 sivlia and 180sx wouldn't piss us off, just make us laugh. The RB's are allot stronger blocks, higher displacement, two more cylinders, and a hell of allot more potential.

Well actually, the SR20's are popular transplants on Skylines, Cefiros and Laurels ( cars that usually run on 6 cyclinders) because of the better balance the car will get by the weight reduction and most importantly, the placement of the engine ( which has less over-hang as compared to the 6 cyclinders) Not for its outright power> However it's good to note that the SR20 has more torque as compared to the RB20 and in the later batches the SR20s are at par with the earlier RB25 engine. As far as tuning potential goes, the SR20 has more aftermarket parts available as compared to the RB20 and RB25 combined...the RB26 is a different story though

true that. That is a popular drift car setup. The weight savings and power jump dropping the SR in place of the RB20 are very desirable. Before somebody types a hate message back, I am a very documented RB-lover and SR-hater but I don`t let that get in the way of my judgement. I would not do it because I hate SRs but I wouldn`t think less of another for the same thing.

I would agree with your statement 100% But I will stick with the RB for my next project. I will be Back in Japan as of Jan. and my next project will be a R32 GTS-T type M for Drift but I will stick with the RB series. I will transplant the 20 for a 26 which will be heavily modified over the next three years and brought back to go in my 240 which will replace the 25. Uless of coarse I find a way to get the whole thing back legal other than motorex.

Oh and any links to the V36

FINALLY! somebody is being smart over here. Heck you have heard it too, every Skyline ower is `TAKING IT BACK` and as soon as they get off the phone with the importer they realize it hurts. If I had any plans to move back to the states I would do exactly what you described.I just sold one of my Skylines leaving me with just one, well one R32 at least I am going with a big 2-liter four for the car but it ain`t no SR baby, Mad wants FJ-power!

DR30 power in a 32. very nice choice. I had a friend in Iwakuni with a RS-turbo. Very fun and fast car. He had the car for a while and had a lot of tuning on the car. But sad to say it ended with a crash. But that motor is a great choice and plenty capable. Good luck

I heard on some site that the R35 will(?) have either a 3.8ltr V6 turbo or a 4.3ltr V8. It doesn't really sound farfetched since we got a V8 in the SC300 instead of a I-6tt. I guess they think we all love V8s.

Hey my girlfriend has a I-6 in her SC300. It was the SC400 with the V-8. I keep telling her to buy the TT motor and put it in. Shes opting for the 2005 G35 Coupe. I agree.

I don't know about you guys , but 450hp seems a little far fetched for a stock , reliable , daily driven V6. A bit much.
