Ok.. some of you are probably familiar with my recent case of Q-itis, and the relative state of my Q. In fact, you probably know about it whether you wanted to or not. I suppose now would be an appropriate time to apologize for my persistent and occassionally inane lines of questioning.

Now that Wes helped me (and, by "helped me", I mean did it for me while I picked my nose and apologized for excessive amount of grime in my wheel wells) finish the Z32 brake upgrade, its time to start looking for my next project.

Budget: I should be receiving a bonus at work on Friday. The bonus will give me roughly $300-325 I can spend on the Q. Also, Wes thinks I can sell my old calipers to someone with a 240. I am planning to clean them, paint them, treat them to some fresh brake parts lubricant and ship them for free. They have little or no life left in the pads, but otherwise in perfect working order. So, I can add what ever profit I get out of them to my budget. Any idea how much I should ask?

Stuff to do:My "active" is highly inactive at the moment. And, I would love to get that working again. But, I don't know if the above listed budget will be big enough to even justify "saving" to work on resotoring the active.

Summer wheels and tires. I am still running the pie pans, which I dislike greatly. I want to find some 350z take-off wheels/tires. Found some good deals on eBay... but, I doubt this qualifies as a "critical" project.

Valve covers have a small, and I mean small, leak. If I get this fixed, I will not be doing it myself. Me + disassembled engine + RTV = disaster. So, I would need to pay to have someone else do it. And, I don't have the heart to torture Wes with that project... so, I am going to need to pay someone.

Underplenum hoses need to be done. The kit, even with the additional list of hoses to finish the job, is well within my budget. But...

Knock Sensors. I have at least one that is bad... and, I don't think either have ever been replaced. So, it is probably time to do both. So, if I am going to be under the plenum anyway, might as well get this done. But...

Plugs. 135K on the engine and still have original spark plugs. Probably time to replace them. And, if I am going to be under the plenum and have half the top of the engine cleared of hoses anyway, might as well get this done too. But...

Bad injector. I have at least one (but, I am pretty sure only one) injector that is bad. I would like to replace the injector, and send the others out to Deatschwerks for a cleaning and testing. And, again, if I am already going to be under the plenum I might as well get this project done too.

As you can see, any one of the "engine" projects taken individually would fit within my budget. But, if I am going to do them all together (which would be my preferred method), I don't think I can fit it all within my budget.

Requests:So... what do you think? Which one should I tackle next?

WEll lets see here rossman

At this point, wheels are the LAST thing on your mind... You got your nice tires on the piepans (which really arent bad tires at all, they have tons of meat).... No wheels and tires yet!!!

YOu gotta get that injector done, your hoses suck (i have room to say that), KS might be bad, i say go under the plenum, get your hoses and we can do it...

When you order your plenum hoses and stuff, id consider getting the stuff for your active like those dust boots that need replaced.... Just get it all at once....

If you are going to have the VC's resealed (just the passneger side drivers side is fine) then have the plugs replaced then..... Go ahead and pick them up....

My suggestion is to just start stockpiling parts... Hoses, KS, active rubber parts, etc etc... Your tension rod bushings and ULs looked good so dont bother with those yet....

For your brakes how they are, $150 isprobably decent, include the rotors and just say they need to be trued...
