I was doing preventative maintenance on the ca when i set the tension on the timing belt to tight....it snapped...need i say more. Question is...would it be more worthwhile to but a new block and head or get this one rebuilt with pistons and upgraded valvetrain. Not looking to spend globs of money seeing that i could get a new engine for rather cheap...

Put a new belt on it to see if you really screwed something up. It would be cheaper to repair as to starting all over again.

Yea, put a new belt on and see what happens. It wouldn't be the first time somebody got lucky on a CA with a busted belt.
