Next Generation QX50 Debuted in China

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Interesting - 8cm isn't much ! I wonder if they're going to offer a hybrid powertrain.....

Visually, not that much of a difference at all. A little disappointing....well, at least, our model won't devalue as much as if a brand new, bold, update had come up; this is barely a mid cycle refresh (except perhaps for the 8cm extension)...

Yes. And a refresh probably means that a completely new model is at least another 2 - 3 years away.

Given the rear seat and storage room (or lack thereof) in our models, I have often bemoaned losing 5 inches in length and 2 inches in wheelbase from my G 37 sedan. That 8 cm on the wheelbase translates into 3 inches, suggesting that overall length should go up 6 inches or so. Add a few tweaks and the option of the hyrbrid powertrain and I think it could be a compelling package. I'm glad they are going up in size rather than down, now if they can keep the weight down....
