Next generation G for 2012?

from what I've been told, 2012 might me a half year for the G, as a carryover 2011. This depends on how far we see nissan get with mercedes design. Since there are still uncertainties with design/engineering sharing, it could take a little longer. But it could also come sooner, but the G hasn't been in demand or sales decline, so it may take a weak first half of 2011 to see a definite start for 2012

Yeah.....There surely could be changes with release dates due to numerous potential changes with hardware.

I would like to see the 2.5 V6 Motor that other parts of the world are being offered along side with the 3.7 v6 in the US.

When I was at the dealership last friday buying a new FX35 the salesmen said the G25 would be arriving next month. Since I wasn't interested and no one had posted any announcement I ignored his comment.

The article does say the car will be in the states for 2011 as the G25. BUT, realize there has been a 250GT in Japan for the last 4+ years and it's never been offered here.

I believe a G25 will be offered for the mass market to expand the G lineup while a high-performance M may be introduced to compete with the BMW M5 and MB AMG. I'm hoping it will be an Essence derivative with twin turbo and motor assist but a M56TT would be great. Infiniti already ruled out an M coupe. A G37TT or G56 is unlikely as it will overlap with the M, price-wise. My two cents.

I'll be at Pebble Beach on Friday and Saturday for the Infiniti media presentation and hope to get the latest scoop.

There is a lot of direction Nissan can take but it sounds like they are wanting to get rid of some overlap in products over the next few years so I would expect to see at least some Nissan models going away. As far as which engine and offering will be there we will have to wait a bit and see what else comes out.

so the G25 is Just Right for me!
Just got my Versa, so I will probably get an end-of-lease G ... someday
...with heated seats and a stick, of course!
