Next EX?

I was watching a new video on the Q50 and in the background I saw this...

We all know that Infiniti sketches are notoriously close to the real production models....

Good eye for sure. I can't imagine what car that is/would be other than the new EX, and it is in the works. And, the rear ens looks pretty goodI will be surprised, however if the next EX is as sleek as the existing one. Just based on how Infiniti and other car companies have redesigned their cars recently I fully expect the EX to have 25" series 40 wheels and tires with rhinestone spokes, headlights that look like cat eyes and a front end with a fish face grill that will scare the hair off a bald rat. OK perhaps a little negative, but I'll bet in the end my sarcasm isn't that far off.

It is interesting to look at the picture and compare it to the shot of XIS' car below. Looks extremely similar to the current EX, with maybe a few more creases in the bodywork. Also, doesn't look any longer or likely to have much more rear seat or hatch space. That would be a serious mistake unless Infiniti considers the X1 not the X3 class of CUV to be the competition. If they don't pump up the utility part of the equation the new Q something (ie. EX) isn't going to claim any more marketshare from the Germans or Acura.
