Next Car Idea's I want everyone's imput

What do you guys think is a good secondary car to just drive the **** off. I've got about 6k to spend. I'm looking for something I can drive hard and slide around it constantly. Any suggestions?

Well i was thinking about getting a beater myself, now i love nissans but i would love to have an old miate, like a 91 or so. Great handling on those things and a blast to drive

yup, since a lot of them comes stock with lsd, and cheap as hell to fix find a flip lights miata but good luck paying the insurance (for anyone under 25)

why not get a swapped s13 to go with your swapped s14? you could pick up heavily modded s13 for 6k all day.

I just want a car that I don't have to worry about. my s14 has problems out the ***. I could just sell it and start over. I'm also thinking that route. So if you had let's say 10k what would you do? S14 or s13 or hell rx-7...I like that...I think that's what I'll do.

or better yet, where can you get an s13 conversion for the coupe? what's the cost.

you are just full of ideas. What is it that you want. A beater, or a nic car. If you just want somethign to beat on, you don't need to spend 6k, heck, you barely need to spend a grand if you wanan do that. Find an old corolla for 25 bux and have at it. Believe itor not, I have a friend who bought a 82 2 door corolla for 25 bux from goodwill. It is an awesome ride all things considered..

Ok ok...so it comes down to this...who would win in a race completely Stock 94' Rx-7 R1 ~255hp or a 92' 240sx coupe w/ sr20det and big t28 turbo package ~320 hp?

this is the definitive question?

Ok, so I don't think I'm going to go with a second car. I think I only need one. Like I said I'm in the Army so I drive very very little, but when I do I get pulled over at least two or three times..It helps if your dad was a state trooper for 25yrs...Anyways..Look at the post above and tell me what you think. I really enjoyed doing all the install work on my s14, but I don't know if I want to do it again. Then, I've also heard rx-7's are notorious for engine poblems....

I know I'm wither very amusing or very annoying with all these post, but I can't really ask the guys I'm with for imput...they just don't understand my love for my cars.. I'm going to get a 3 week leave in June.. I kno it's "my choice" in the end, but what do you guys think?s13 coupe + 1 week of install time or Rx-7? the reason I've chosen these two, is because I've found a really good deal on both.. Unless somebody can point me in the direction of a coupe for around $500 Thanks guys, Scott

Honda's and Toyota's make great daily drivers, and get awsome gas mileage. My friend w/ a civic ex got 360 miles out of his last tank of gas and he shifts each gear at like 5k+ rpms, no bullshiet. His tank is like 10 gallons! Amazing... Get something that you can just basically put gas in and go.

Your lucky, people have been getting pinched left and right with SR's here where I live. Now im too scared to turbo my car unless any company ever legalizes their turbo. And my friend owns an RX-8 and another owns an RX-7. I got to drive the RX-8, a great car, gotta love rotary engines. Its just too bad they get about 14miles/gallon normal driving.

well my brothers 91 Mercury Cougar is fun as hell to drive, rwd, V6= lots of fun, if you get the better version(the Ford Thunderbird) its got a V8, supercharer, but you can swap that motor into the Cougar. The cougar can be found relatively cheap too.

yea, I got y Motorcycle license right before I joined the Army. I was origonally, back before I did my SR swap, thinking of getting A CBR or R6, but I'm hesitant cause you can't really drive them in the rain. Of course, you can't really drive like I like in the rain either.

true true, they were pretty nice, id rather just get a Suzuki Hayabusa and slap a nice sized turbo on her, i mean ****, stock those things dont even have a topspeed, i got a video fo one pegging the speedo at 230 and still reving past 14,000 rpm's

how bout an older hardbody with a stockish swap and maybe big28. that would be fairly reliable(moreso than an rx-7),a blast to drive, and functional.

Both gots their pros and cons. Dont start a war here though. Worst thing would be S13 and S14ers divided.
