Hey guys,

I recently started auto-x-ing my car. I've noticed that my car has way too much body roll, but also that I slide around in the seat too much. Those S13 seats and the automatic seat belts don't hold you in very well.

But I don't know which to do first. Should I get a new seat and a harness, or should I work on the suspension. The car has few engine modifications, I'm running in rear street tire stock right now, but I really don't care what class i'm in as long as i'm racing and having fun at it. Please let me know what you guys think.

depending on what u have now, tires are probably the first thing u want to buy.

i was looking over your future mods list, after the tires, i would go for the springs and agx struts then bushings, and then the sway bars.

seats seem expensive to buy right away when u could spend the money on more entertaining mods. maybe try moving a little closer to the steering wheel or tilting the back up some.

in the DIY section there is a write up about how you can modify the stock seats to hug you a bit more. I tried it and it did feel much much better. I'm not saying they are anything like a race bucket seat, but they were alot better than stock. The one thing i did differently was removing the back support springs on the back of the seat. There were three supports and i removed the top two so i really sat back in the seat. With the supports removed and the side bars pulled in a bit more i did feel a little bit more snug. That should help enough until you can get yourself a good seat.

Many thanks guys

Ceptos, yeah, that site is a little old. Haven't been able to really update it since I've been at school. I'm not planning a turbo or anything anymore. I'm happy just to add i/h/e for now.
