I've been playing that stupid Dungeon Fighter game because I was bored, and managed to waste 4 hours of my life getting to level 10. They have this stupid anti-hack system where you run around as a stupid goblin into numbered houses. Thats how you enter your pin. I didn't know it was going to be all that important, I thought it was just a verification thing, so I entered some random numbers in twice correctly and it let me through.

Turns out they use that stupid system every time you try to do anything with items. So I typed in what I thought was my password wrong three times. Well it locked me out. Okay, well at least its working. Thats what its supposed to do. Let me just go request a new one. WRONG. You type it in wrong three times and you're forever banned from the account and there's really no way to get it back.

What the hell kind of company makes an anti-hacking system that, if successful, locks the user out of the account. Friggin hackers can just use it to f*** around with people and get them locked out.

Yeah, most tech like that is very poorly realized and even more poorly executed. The idea that "innocent" players are the only ones affected by this kind of thing since the "guilty" will just circumvent it doesn't seem to click with most pubs.

And you know, the thing is I'm glad they have some kind of system, it was potentially a good idea since there are no keystrokes to record etc. But like you said, it was executed horribly. Their customer support really blows hard
