newly installed 97 motor wont start?

hey guys,i'm posting for a friend.

hes been swapping motors from a 97 to his 92(?) s13 for awhile now and he finally got it running today.it ran poorly b/c of timing issues, but his neighbor came to help him with the timing and it ran decent and held idle.but after they tried to adjust the timing to make it run perfectly, the car wouldnt start.however, the starter would just click once when tried to crank. (guessing this is the problem)

his fuses are intact and his battery and connections are all fine.any ideas???

if anyone could help him, i'd appreciate it!

Check the battery and make sure it isn't weak or dieing. If the battery is good then the started probably shat its self, but to be sure pop it off and take it to auto zone and have it tested.
