Newest member of the NICO family arrived today...

This weekend, I went to San Diego for a family vacation, and while out there, i picked up the newest addition to the NICO family:

1993 240sx Special Edition convertible.

Black, bone stock, 120K miles, one of VERY FEW factory leather convertibles, in great shape. I am the third owner, and the car was bought new in SoCal and spent its whole life there.

I'll be bringing it back to "as new" condition gradually... It doesn't need much - Body and paint are nearly perfect, it was obviously garaged. Needs some leather repair, a new rear window, door panels repaired, and some little cosmetic issues to be perfect....It'll be a toy, basically for me and NICOmom to drive whenever we feel like it.

Drove it back from SD in the heat of the day today (well over 100 degrees) with NO problems... Ran it at 110mph for nearly an hour with no ill effects. Got 300 miles out of a full tank (is that good?).

I'll take some pics later this week and post them up.

I'll be spending A LOT of time in the 240 forums now, asking dumb questions and learning all I can.

I just ordered the 'vert manual, now I need an S13 FSM - Any ideas?

300 at 110mph is pretty damn good. Congrats hitman!!!!! I know you have wanted one for a while and I'm glad you finally got one! I am very anxious to see the (i'm sure) soon-to-come mods. Good luck man!

It was coincidental - Found it on autotrader, just happened to be going there in 3 weeks for vacation, so NICOmom suggested waiting until we get there and driving it back if it was to my liking...

$3K for those that MUST know, and Rex, that first pic is DEFINITELY the goal (someday WAY down the line).

For now, it's just gonna be returning it to "as new" condition and enjoying cheap top-down Nissan goodness...

yes, it is a sweet car... I got to actually see it!

very clean car... str8 body and to my surprise, the car still has great paint!

it also has less dings than my S14
