Newer Xterra stereo in older R50?

Ok, someone has had to try this... I just bought a '98 R50 with a double din stereo (not bose). I've seen double din 6-disk MP3 players out of Xterras and Frontiers and wonder if it would fit. I already have a single din that I can put in it, but haven't yet found a decent single din kit. Anyone know if the newer 6-disk MP3 player would fit and plug right in?

Notice the plugs on the back? Looks like every Nissan headunit I've ever messed with (4 or 5 of 'em), and I BET it would swap in. I guess you could buy and resale if it didn't work.

edit: this one's not a mp3 / 6 disc tho... I'll see if I can find that. But I guess the seller does say it'll work in a Pathfinder.
