originally wanted a subaru imprezza for north driving but will be heading to daytona if all goes well. i was off 9 out of 12 days in late august and spent a lot of the time searching and researching cars. i almost got a rio for the mileage but those cars cannot tow even jetskis. they don't make hitches for rios but they do for the versa. versa has a maximum tongue weight of 500 lbs. that will tow my 14 foot aluminum boat and my open trailer only for short hauls but very important for me. this was the singlemost reason that i sought the versa in the beginning. but after researching for awhile i found out that this car was consumer reports best buy and one of many other awards the versa retains is best in class luxury car. also is top rated for the older sect for it's ability to seat passangers comfortably without stooping or deep bending. young people like the car as well as older people. this car will be emulated soon as the dodge hornet. nice styling on that car. i got a used 2007 with 20,000 miles for 12,000 with trade. that's 3.000 less than a neon i bought new in '97. i will have this car on monday. ciao.

Here's the Dodge Hornet you are talking about...from what I have read it will probably be built by VW.[IMG][/IMG]

Oh my god....

I heard a few weeks ago about the Dodge Hornet but never seen any pictures of it.

What's wrong with auto designers nowadays.

Why do many of the new cars/trucks have a shape that suggests a higher drag coefficient than a sherman tank running through vegetable oil?

Good Comparison..but in all fareness the Versa is no slippery pumpkin seed either. My Scangauge has indicated...28 mpg in the same headwind, that if going the other direction, jumps to 42 mpg.

This new Dodge is expected to have a 170 hp engine in it and a front end only General Patton could love, so that should make all the oil companies happy.

Seems that no one building cars these days really ..'Get's It'.

The Big 3 have been all crowing about their "franchise savers" , the 2009 'Retro-Rocket Muscle cars.

Sure Detriot, that's what people want right now...more gas guzzlers.

Nissan, as everyone knows has been contracted by Chysler to build a Versa-like car for the South American market...now the Dodge Hornet might be built by VW...

Chyslers $ales were down a whopping 34% in the last quarter.Could it get any worse for the parent company named after a 3 headed dog who guards the gates of Hell?

my bad. i thought the dodge hornet was based off the versa. was led to believe that while reading an article on the new age b cars and the hornet was brought up.
