Hi all,I'm 2hrs away from picking up my 2007 Maxima SL. Any thoughts...haven't seen much as far as reviews with the 2007... Happy to know that this site exists and look forward to learning more about my new car and hope to contribute at some point.

Motor is pretty bulletproof. The '07 lost the 6mt and simply comes with a CVT which a lot of older Maxima owners disagree with. Others like it. For a large-ish sedan it has good power.

Welcome to NICO and good luck on the purchase

Thanks...I picked the car up today....however, because it's a used vehicle, they didn't check to see if the keyfob worked....and it did not...Have to go back tomorrow to get the fob with new battery... Only comes with one keyfob....is that right. Usually cars come with two sets of keys no? Would hate to have my car stolen because the previous owner decides he wants the car back ... should I push the issue with the dealer? any thoughts

They come with 2 fobs. Insist on a second one and better have them re-programmed (so the other 'missing' fob can no longer be used). You can add a 3rd one but they will probably charge you extra.

So I should be given 2 fobs....this is fact? Don't mean to question, but to be honest, the salesman didn't even know about the fob and how it works...so I just want to be sure.. I don't want to ask for something I'm not entitled to..I already emailed the salesperson about my request for a re-programmed set of 2 key fobs...he will get that in the morning. Thanks for the advice...I'll keep you posted.
