Hello Nissan Lovers,

New to the site. My ex boyfriend gave me his so call junk car (black 240sx, low mileage), so here I am trying to learn more about the Lovely Miss Silvia.

Has anyone tried driving Silvia in the winter? I just want to know how she handles the ice and snow before taking her out.

Welcome to the forums. Driving a 240sx in the snow is like almost any other car. Just drive slow and do donuts in every parking lot.

Thanks, making donuts is only fun in an empty parking lot and sitting in the passenger seat. It's my first attempt to drive anything but a 4wheel in winter.

Be careful in the rain though, some 240SX aren't equip with LSD (Limited Slip Differential =)

Hope this forum doesn't break you in too harshly with questions and comments

You're welcome babe

If you want to know if you have LSD or not,

1) Simply have another guy (unless you think you're up to it =D) jack up the rear of your 240SX (make sure you put brick your front wheels), until your rear wheels are off the ground

2) Spin one wheel (make sure its in neutral), and if the other wheels spins, then you're equipped with Limited Slip Differential.

And if it doesn't, well, it'd be a wise choice to drive with caution on wet pavements
