Hey guys, Some retard rear-ended my mustang at 65 miles an hour last weekend, so now it's totalled and I need a new car. I regularly attend local drifting events, and have really feel in love with the s13 240sx ... my question is just ... do you think the s13 240sx is a good decesion? When I go out to buy one, should I look for any specific kind, like an SE or whatever?

I also plan on putting a sr20det in there ... so it doesn't really matter if i buy one with tons of miles on it, cuz the trans and motor will be swapped anyway...right?

thanks, i appreciate any info.

well think long and hard and hope you have alot of cash because if you buy a car then buy an engine then buy a transmission you are gonna be tapped unless you are rich, so get something dependable and clean... dont settle...and if you are changing it you may as well get an auto ..usually find them alot nicer because they arent dogged as hard...thats what i got... eventually it will be stick but like i said... nothing is being rushed.

also think about the sr before you decide... it maybe more horses and turbo but less displacement and .. probably not as quick on bottom end or atleast doesnt "feel" that way

this is just general information I either assume by knowing specs or have heard around... I've never driven an sr so you may want to ask around or visit the SR section of the forum

anyway .. WELCOME!

and make sure you search or you will induce post whoring and whining..

Thanks!

I understand what you mean about it may be expensive with the swap and everything, but I'm getting like $12,000 for my mustang...So...my plan is buy a s13 for like $2,000 ... and buying a clip from heavy throttle.

anywho, thanks for the info .. i'll be sure to 'SEARCH' before asking any more questions, questions that have probably been anwsered a million times before (I have experience from mustang forums).

thnx

Welcome to this world that confuses yet intrigues the mind. It is called NICO the home of pantsless saturday nights! :batman

12k should be just fine for that swap least I hope it would be. You want a coupe or a hatch?

whats up man, i was born in philly : ). In your pricing have you considered anything else? For instance before you get the Sr you really want to get a new suspension/brake set up. Not to mention a new clutch. good luck on your project.
