Hello everyone, this is my first post here... I bought an '04 Coupe automatic, this is the first time I've driven an auto in over a decade so I may just be paranoid, but I've washed the car every weekend since I got it and I by Wednesday it seems like the front wheels are covered in brake dust..... they seem INCREDIBLY touchy to me. Is there a known problem with them or any ideas on how to avoid the dust?? I'm thinking ceramic but would like some feedback before I go playing.

While I'm typing, anyone got any ideas how I can get an updated DVD-ROM for the navigation and/or how I can "adjust" it to play movies? I'd also like to know how I can disable the safety feature that won't let you input an address while you're moving.

Yeah, I know, marathon post.. sorry fellas, and ladies if they're out there..

THank YouJohn

Re the updated NAV DVD - try this site:http://www.zenrin.com/infiniti/DVD7/

I saw another post today about playing DVD's on the system.

about the brakes....they are sensitive.....it's normal.....I've always had Akebono ceramic brake pads recommended to me and they work great for me. I do not go to the track but I do like to drive fast. The ceramic pads don't even need to be broken in. Just put them on and you're ready to go.

Welcome to NICO!!

I believe you have the Brembos??

Either way, pre-'05 do have a problem with excessive dust...but nothing to worry about.

as afr as the DVD/Navi goes...this is a topic that comes up alot. I'm not 100% sure if anyone has actually figured out how to do it yet.. I know people have "claimed" to do it, but I don't recall seeing an article written on it. But if you hit the seach button..I have no doubt you will see all the threads on this. I'd look for you...but I'm at work

And...Post pics of your new ride!

Thanks for the welcome and info... I've been reading a lot off this site and am going to tint first, then work on the intake set-up and then just keep going... I have ceramics on a corvette I own and love them, so I'll probably just do that for this brake dust problem. Again, thanks and I'll try and get some pics up ASAP. I'm one of those slow guys, I take the pictures but never do anything with them..
