let me start off with my story... I have a 1992 Nissan 240sx with a blown ka.. I was rebuilding to go KA24DET... Now this friend of mine has got my mind to change on buying a CA18DET. I searched around.. i fell in love with the ca18det. its cast-iron but yet super light at the same time. that is when i fell in love.. also it revs at 8k stock. that i'm not sure.. if someone can shine the light on that for me. Anyways.. I really want to buy a CA18DET now and try to hook up even more. my friend said he seen a ca18det with 700HP.. i was like no way!!! People please post pics and info on your hooked up CA18DET i would like know how much HP and torque I could get on them.

You can get as much hp and torque as you need, but it all depends on how much dollars you're willing to cough up. And you must be realistic and realize that it is a rather small, but scrappy motor, so don't be looking for the torque to match the hp. Prices for them run between $1300-$1500 for a complete engine set. There's a few good places to buy them. Myself and pulsar gtr have connection that can get you hooked-up with one as well, but it's all your preference as none of us will try to solicit your business. It is indeed a great engine that's worthy of smacking some @$$ on the track and on the street .

Yeah, well I'm the kinda guy that wants a solid gold toilet, doesn't mean it's going to happen.

You're just looking for the wrong things here buddy. Buy a Mk IV Supra or something.
