Hi, I'm new here.

Anyways, is there a difference between 1990 through 92 240SX models?

Thanks

I'l tell you, but next time, there is a search button in the upper right corner of the website. Just for convinence of not answering the same question many times.

90 is a sohc, 92 is a dohc. theres some placement differences, but look around

No problem. Check this out...

Lots of good info on that site. I'd start out with this before I read the stuff about camshafts, actually... http://auto.howstuffworks.com/engine.htm

sohc = single overhead cam dohc = dual overhead cam

dohc's have 15 more horsepower than sohc's.

alright thanks, those are helpul especially the link. I did a search on '91 models, and from what I understand, they come with sohc type engine?

so does anyone know if there's a difference between 91 and 92 models, in terms of looks? I really like this one I found (a 91 hatchback), but I'm thinking of getting a 92 just for the dohc (don't plan on swapping engines soon anyways).....

1991 240sx has DOHC, unless the engine's been swapped out. Only difference between stock '91 and '92 fastbacks is one is a year newer. Supposedly the '91s have more aggressive cams.

Actually it was all the DOHC s13's had the 240 248 cams, not just the 91's
