hey guys i have a few questions i looked for over 6 pages back and didnt really find what i was looking for, i just acquired a a 1987 Nissan 300ZX and i wanted to find out what little mods could be done to it just to make it a little "better"---- it's NA by the way.

Also i saw that u can swap a pathfinder intake manifild and i think it looks a little cooler/cleaner than the stock cover but either way i read it only helps with top end power on highly modded cars is that true and same for the 240sx TB.

Thanks a lot in advance and nice cars to everyone who went to the 300zx meet at the Mt. Diablo auto museum (i think)

there is all the basic intake, exhaust, header, ECU, Cam gears, or you could do a turbo swap or a VG33 swap, just depends on how much money your willing to spend and how nuts you are congrats on the Z

the pathy intake manifold actually makes more power at the lower end on turbo cars. have never seen a dyno comparison of an NA. The only issue is, unless you modify the plenum, the hood won't close. You have to raise the rear of the hood to make it latch.

And second for everything evildky said.

just as a follow up my friend can hook me up cheap with a turbo engine and transmission i'm guessing it also comes with ecu and harness and whatnot because he said his friend can start it up in his basement so yeh... would this be a hard swap into an 87 NA or no.... the thing that happened with my new Z is the guy's timing belt broke and the 6th cylinder got it iunno how bad yet but i will find out..

Don't get a pathy manifold, gut the stock one. some people say that it wouldn't distribute air evenly if you do, but you probably won't have any problems with that until you start making crazy HP. As for tha 240 throttle body, it doesn't do **** for performance, just a waste of cash.
