You need to be more specific, what did you do to your car before this happened. Which car do you have, mods, miles, etc. kthxbye

Ok its a 95 240sx, with 130,000 miles on the pretty much stock KA24de. Intake is the only mod. The only thing I have done recently to was put a new battery the day before it happened. OK it started running bad then died started died then died again, and hasnt started since. I have checked everything I can think of that could be wrong with it. The motor is getting gas and fire in every cylinder. I just think there is something i am missing...

well it takes as we know fuel, air, spark and compression is needed to turn over n engine, have you done a compression test? is thier coolant in the oil? has it overheated recently? how long between the first signs of a problem and and it dieing?

the compression is fine, no coolant in the oil, and it has never over heated, it actually always ran really cold..There was now problems at all it was like only about a mile from when it started running bad to dieing and it all happened within maybe 5 minutes....what do think it could be?

Head temp sensor, Check your rotor and CapSpark Plugs and wiresall temp sensors and make sure all your grounds are connected and solid

I remember when my car wouldnt start sometimes was becuase the head temp sensor was corroded.

My friends 300zx Turbo had plug 4 and 6 completely corroded and basically ran on four cylinders and had a horrible start. New rotor and cap, plus new wires and spark plugs = great idle, great start, and ran very strong.... There are more tiny factors out there you might also be able to check but i cant think of anything small like that else off the top of my head.

maybe your alternator is dead and it keeps discharging your battery.

Well after 3 differant mechanics and nearly a month of running diognostics on it, i finally took it to a competent Nissan Dealership, guess what it is? It's the freaking distributor, and they told me in about 2 hours. Well the Dealership no suprise wanted to charge me almost 900 dollars to do the job. hahaha. Well Oreilly's has a dist. for $166 and I can change that myself. Apperantly it didnt just go completely out, it slowly went down hill and finally went completely out. So anyway thanks guys for all the suggestions..So if you have the same problem just choke up the $75 or so dollars for a Nissan dealership to run a diog. check, then fix it yourself.
