Hey guys, I got an A/C about 2 months ago and already managed to get a nasty scrape on the passenger side door.

While the car was being fixed I stalked these forums due to my separation anxiety haha... seriously... I had to go back to my 98 corrolla for 3 days.

Anyway I got it back today and noticed a few things aren't the same. My radio presets were all reset, the trip odometer was reset, my mpg and mph averages were gone, and my driver side window no longer goes all the way up by itself like it used to. I have to hold the switch up now

Sooooo, I was just wondering is the window thing a big deal? or just something silly.

it sounds like they disconnected your battery. as for the window switch id take it to the dealer and tell them to fix it, its not that its a life altering problem but thats what the warrenty is for.

Hey I'm sorry to hear that your car was scraped.. but glad that you got it fixed. I'm assuming (not too sure myself) that they unplugged the battery during the repair and plugged it back in. It probably just needs to be reprogrammed. Refer to your users manual... or just take it back to your dealership and I'm sure they would have no problem fixing your window issue. Good Luck

Edit... looks like scandanavian flick beat me to it.

About the auto up window issue, read the manual or search the site. There are instructions to where it will reset the programing in the auto module for the window. I had to do it when I got my car back from the body shop.

Ummm, I blew the 250amp Linkable Fuse (did I say that right?) that is connected to the battery terminal....

Dealer says I had a direct short from the starter to the fusable link (or is this the right way to say it?) and that was what blew the fusable link. Then when they replaced the link, and tried to start up the car, it blew the starter. Both items have been replaced and all is good now.

Its funny now, but wasn't so funny when it happened.

Sorry for the hijack....Back to our regularly scheduled programming now.
