newbie question on trunk

I just bought a 2008 g35x, and I was wondering if when I press the trunk unlock button on the keychain, the trunk is supposed to swing open by it self OR if all it does it unlock it.

I ask this because my old maxima opened by it self, so I don't know if its normal or not on the g35 to just unlock.

Yeah I see it first hand when I catch my self doing 90 with the same pressure on the pedal that used to get me 60 on my old car lol

If you were to put your wife in the trunk along with your dog and returned an hour later and opened the trunk guess which one would be happy to see you.
