im looking to buy a 350z and i need some advice as to which one would be best for me...im looking to buy it to use as a daily driver but i am planning on fixing it up so i was wondering which trim i should get...first off: ive read that there are feathering issues with the 03-04 z's and i was wondering if this would still be an issue if i installed another suspension (nismo type s for example) and switched the tires to 18" and with wider tires...2nd:how important is the traction control...yes, this is a stupid question but i figure it has to be an issue since nissan opted to leave it off on the base model...thats about it for now...any advice would be appreciated...

the traction control can be helpful on the street for an unskilled driver, for any performance application it sucks, the tire feathering is an alignment issue made worse by lowering the car, it can still eb corrected but will require extra work to stretch the tire life, all but the base models got the LSD, and the track model got the brembo brakes, the downside si taht the brembo's are only marginally better than stock, the plus is that if you upgrade to something better youcan sell the used brembo setup for aobut 1k on ebay, some of the models came stock with 18's, the newest GT comed with 18x10's in the rear, they kinda skimped on the tire, there is room for a bit mroe tire but not as much as should be on a 10" wheel, if you're planning a lot of mods it might be cheaper to buy a base model and install your own aftermarket LSD, also depends on if you plan on doing any sanctioned racing or if you just want a street cruiser, what woud you liek the car to do?

well if you're planning on a tighter aftermarket LSD then the base model is where I'd start since you're planing on larger aftermarket wheels, for your purposed the stock LSD would be sufficient in which case the enthusiast would also be a good choice, and 'm sorry to say I have no idea whet "b.p.u." is? SP does allow for headers and full exhaust as well as cold air intake, and if you felt real ambitious you're allowed a .040 overbore and you can mill the heads .010 to squeeze that little extra out of the motor

oh haha sorry. B.P.U. is a commonly used phrase among supra owners. it stands for basic performance upgrades
