Hi all, I am new to the car modding world. I was really never into cars until i saw the new altima and I just had to have it... self gift for christmas. Before I do any performance upgrades, I wanna focus on the comestic parts first, because i wanna use up my stock parts a little and break-in the car and maybe wait until better parts are available and hopefully price drops.

Anways, I want to buy a set of fog light bulb for my car, but I dont know what to get. I got the 3.5 MT with premium package. I wanna get brightest legal white light to match my current stock HID lights. I looked on e-bay and there are ones that goes for $45 and really cheap one for $12 shipping include. Are the cheap ones good enough and will they match my current HID headlights. I dont mind if its not an exact match, but i do want it bright. Also If i also want to replace my stock HID to more brighter white lights what should i get?

2nd Question, anybody from GA and VA know underbody LED, and interior LED regulations. I wanna get underbody LED and cool blue interior (sound sensative) LED in the back seat and maybe red or bright white license plate led, but i couldn 't find anything on the web. Can someone advise me on what they know or what protduct is recommended?

3rd, what is a good tint product? I heard 3M is good. I am going to get it tinted soon at a shop, but I dont know too much about it so, I would really appreciate the help.

Thanks in advance.

Theres really no way of knowing whether a bulb will match another bulb unless its rated in Kelvin. I would say a good white light xenon bulb would do for a close to hid look. Try Sylvania they might have something, but theyre expensive. Remember you get what you pay for.

I lived in VA growing up and as far as i can recall it was illegal to put any color exterior lights on your car. Its pretty safe to assume in VA that anything modified is illegal by state law.

Most any tint shop you take your car too they will have their own tint with warranty.

stock HID are 4300K temperature, so if you get something about 4300 to 5000 they should be close. There are McCulloch ones that ppl like Tyler got, those goes for about 279 a set. Then there's ones that cost about 70 something. Robert got those I believe. Then there's the Xenon bulbs, they are not HIDs but will have white/bluish lights that will look close to the stock HIDs but will not throw as much light as the HIDs would. As far as more white light, I think 4300 are as bright as you can get, the higher the temperature like 6000 to 10000, you'll actually get LESS light and they'll start to look BLUE and that's illegal in a lot of cops' eyes so be careful.

regarding the license plate bulb, check in the bulb application thread for the bulb # and ebay that bulb # for the LED.

I'm in OC and I got my tint for 120 (35% in front, 20% back) using Johnson's Film.

I ordered a cheap pair of Xenon Fog light bulbs on Ebay.

Input level@ 90/100w Output Level@ 160/170w Color Temperature@ 4500k Xenon Gas Filled; produce Hyper White Light with HID Look

It was only $12 including shipping. Before investing in a $60+ on a PIAA bulbs, I thought it wouldn't kill to tryout the cheap ones before. I'll upload a picture when I receive and install them. I really don't care rather its real HID or not... just want it look bright white like the headlights. Hopefully, it is not a waste of $12.

Careful with bulbs like that. The stock harness I believe can only handle 55w. The ones you indicated are very much above that. You could run the risk of burning out the bulb and melting the harness. I've seen it many times over.

Welcome to the community btw

NOOOOOO!!!!! please don't install those. They have other ones on ebay that only draw like 60w, or some even the stock 55w. those 90w WILL melt your harness given enough time. One of the other moderators, Eric, said it happened to his girlfriend's car. Don't chance it, just chuck those 90w bulbs, it's only $12

Ah, Crap! there goes whopping $12 down the drain. Maybe the dealer is wrong and the wattage is ony 55W... lol

I tried finding another one to try out on e-bay, but I can't find one for the altima, can someone help me? Will any H11 bulbs with 50-60watt work, even the ones that do not specifically say foglight bulbs. I got sold because the title specifically said altima foglights... I am quite guilible. If not, I may have to search for a specialty shops near here to directly purchase it, but that takes too much effort.

I finally got new foglight bulbs this weeks and I am about to install it, but I have no clue how. Can I get some advise or detailed instructions? I've been reading the BULB tread and reading the diagrams, but I just don't get it. It says to go to EXT-19, then when I go to EXT-19, it says to go to EXT-13, and when I go to EXT-13, it says to refer to EXT-19. It's a never ending loop!!! I am not very knowledgable but I am trying to learn! What do I have to remove first? If someone would help out a bit, it would be greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

down below the front of the car, there's the weather protection stuff, u can unclip them and access the bulb location thru there. Just be real careful and wear some gloves so u don't touch the bulbs with ur bare hands, if u do, clean it off with alcohol
