hey, im plannin on buying a 97 240sx automatic for 7500 wit 86,000 miles. is that a smart choice? i wanna get into drifting a lil. but im not gonna go all out. i no its not that smart to spend that much on a first drift car. but like i said, i wanna drift a lil here and there thats all. not gonna go all out. and how much will it cost me to convert an auto into a manual? man........ iono wat to do... i wanna drift, but the 97 240sx looks pretty nice. but then its automatic and its kinda too much to spend on a drifter. any suggestions?

my suggesting is get a car thats easily replacable. a 97 240 is not. and its expensive when you crash.

500$ s13 > 7000$ s14.

i no watchu mean. but dam... the Kouki lights looks nice. and it got only 86,000 miles. all the other S13's have like around 150K. and also im not plannin to drift alot. just wanna try it out a lil. im kinda goin for a nice looking car and that could drift a lil here and there. the S13's will need alot of upgrades to make it look nice. and also... i dont no how to fix cars. so im worried that the S13's might have problems considering its age. the 97 seems like it wont have any problems for a while. ima scope around to see if i can find a S13 wit fairly low miles. 150k seems kinda too much. hey how bout a mr2? can those drift well?

mr2=snap oversteer=crash

go buy the s14. if u crash(which is very likely) be prepared to pay to fix it.

should i ? should i get that 97 for 7500? but its AUTO tho... that means ima have to do a 5 speed swap which adds another G. so itll be like around almost 9000 for a 97 240sx SE wit 86,000 miles. iono is it even worth it. im new to 240sx's.

oh if u arent doing the work yourself dont do it. if you are doing the work yourself go for it. i thought u were, its easy to do. just takes time and brains. otherwise get a s13 and be done. but koukis are rad. hehe...well, s14s in genearl feel great. good luck with whatever u end up doing.

S13 OWNS U. Angry eyes are beautiful, but if u are lookin for a car that is cheap and fun the s13 chassis is where its at. Just pick up a real nice 5spd s13 for like 2000-2500 and put the rest of the money into mods. Thats what i would do. Well good luck at whatever man. Have fun

if you're not gonna be serious, buy an s13. don't spend too much on a fourteen. go to the junkyard to buy your transmission and other parts!

definately go with the cheaper chassis like fullthrtl said, as long as its strong, then you have the money to put into building it or getting a second cheap daily if you dont have one.

Stay away front rust and make sure its straight then get youself an lsd, if it doesnt already have one, and your set
