newbie needs help!

Hi all im new to the forum and the 720 life-style... Im needing some pointers... I have a hole in my oil pan that was caused by what looks like the axle rubbing the oul pan there is less than a half in of clearance between the two... Has anyone else encountered this issue? If so what is the solution?
