Thats resistance when you the transmission back in. If it doesn't, then you didn't put in the pilot bearing/bushing, or didn't remove the auto pilot bearing and replace it with the manual one, if you are doing a manual swap. The resistance would go away once you press the clutch pedal, because the then the pressure plate would not grip the clutch and then it would align on the input shaft.------I'm surprised that none of those shops, would send someone to go with you on a test run. A slave cylindar is easy to replace yourself and costs like $25. The Master cylinder is more involved. Its "could"~ be those, if not then I would agree that it would be the syncros. How does your clutch pedal feel?
One way to see if it is you syncros is to double clutch when you shift (press clutch->shift to neutral-> release clutch->press clutch->shift to next gear->release clutch)
