I sell cars and here is some advice.
If you are shopping for a used car, focus on KBB trade-in value, not retail value, the spread on a mid/high dollar car is usually $6-$10K+ for dealer profit, though most dealers will gladly take a $1,000-$2,000 profit. Also, check NADA values, NADA is the book banks pay most attention to, and their numbers are much more realistic and in the buyer's favor.
On a side note, If you'de prefer an 03 gold/tan excellent shape M45 with 33K miles for a thousand dollars less, hit me up at
[email protected]. It's my personal car and I'm itching to scoop up an Eddie Bauer Expedition that was just traded in.
