Yeah so I usually don't push my car very hard but one night I decided to take my friend's CRX on the freeway on the way to a weekly 240 meet and at one point I downshifted to 4th then 3rd because I thought I could push a little more out of third, hit the rev limiter, then went back to fifth and as soon as i try to get back on the gas it turns off on me ......yeah so.....ok i know i f****d up, flame if u must and me and my dad haven't been able to get it to turn on since. We've done compression tests, wet and dry compression test, checked the cam timing, checked for spark and checked for leaks in all of the cylinders. Were thinking about checking around the oil pan cuz when we were checking the timing the crank would get harder to turn at a certain point so something might be in the way. It has about 130k miles on it and the current compression #'s are: C1:75; C2:80; C3:70;C4:90Timing chain slack is about 20 degreesHistory: Use to have a bad injector and replaced it with a rebuilt one.Got a used starter cuz mine got fried. Also its been sitting for about 2 months now Any suggestions would be helpful thanksOh and its a DE

I put it back together and now theres no compression but when we were turning the crank to see how it feels it gets stuck in one spot....we turn the other way and it gets stuck at the same point so I thought something might've gotten in the way of the flywheel but the clutch never felt weird so its probably something in the way of the crank so gonna check that out....any suggestions are welcome.

dose your clutch pedal feel weak or harder then it used to be? cuz the other day my freind blew up his preasure plate and couldnt start his car. and take the valve cover off and take a peek and if nothing noticeable take the head off then you can really have a look if all else fails pull the motor put it on a stand flip it over take the oil pan off and look

it feels fine...one thing that happened to the guy helping me was that in his car, his flywheel didn't look worn out or anything but around the six bolts it broke so his messed up...I don't wanna crank it for too long cuz thats how my starter got fried last time..my dad wants me to buy another motor just to get my car running but I don't think its necessary, obviously gonna buy the broken or bent piece..thanks for the info guys-all i need now is an engine stand..u guys suggest buying another KA motor and rebuilding the broken one?

rebuild the KA with new internals.the problem with buying a new one is your going to have problems sooner unless you get a brand new engine. if you put the SOHC pistons in the DOHC block you get pretty high compression without interference of valves. i was going to build mine but sold it so i could pay for school zerothread?id=225510that explains the sohc piston thing i was talkin bout

soulds like the Valve's floated, and the cylinder pounded into it. And now that valve is stuck in there.

Take a look under the valve cover, see if anything is looking a little awkward.

wow...those are really low compression numbers...iirc they are about 70+ psi short, most likely is a valve issue. Now in terms of the stick, sorry but I have to ask, do you have all of the spark plugs out while rotating it? If so then you should just pull the head and see how it rotates then plus check for damage to your valves and pistons.

You might have broken the timing chain. It probably is all jammed up in the lower timing cover, which is why you can turn it partially each direction before it binds again.

Pulling the valve cover will reveal all that. You probably bent valves too...
