HI All,

It is time to tackle the rear suspension. Last owner slid and hit the curb and mashed the lower control arm. I figured if I was taking everything off to replace the arm then why not go sort of all out. I order new suspension and control arm bushings from Energy Suspension as everything on the car is original from 23 years ago. Or it looks it! I I busted a bolt off trying to remove the brake rotor so a new set of Brembo's are on the way. Picked up 2 new SKF wheel bearing and hubs and unfortunately I mangled the dust shield trying to get the parts off so I ordered 2 of those as the other side doesn't look any better. And with that off came the worn brake shoes for the e-brake. Pretty much everything will be new in the rear. The used set of control arms though come with used lower ball joints. So I want to replace those also so everything will last a while. Searching around here and on the Net there wasn't a whole lot of info on rear lower ball joints, only that they come on all lower control arms that are for sale. New or used. I finally came across a post that recommended these for the front:

Do these look correct?

I also read somewhere that the front and rear are interchangeable? As the link says front, will they also work on the rear?

Are the old ball joints hard to remove from the used lower control arms I am getting?

Are they difficult to install on the used lower control arms I am getting?

Thanks for any help,

Evan
