thats a good question. ask and people will tell you that orange is for exhaust and green is for intake. You will take a long time putting them in. The first lobes will point up on each camshaft. You will read JWT's website, which, while is shows the green cam as the intake cam, says at the end of the article:"If either of the camshaft's first lobe points upwards then you have switched the intake and exhaust camsgaft."You will get pissed, take them out, and put the orange one on the intake, and they will all line up exactly the way they are supposed, with the first lobes point upwards and away from each other.

So, while other people say green intake, orange exhaust, I'm going to have to recommend you go with Orange intake, Green exhaust.

Green is the intake. Orange is the exhaust. If you switch them you have a 248 duration cam for you intake and 240 duration as your exhaust. I do not no what this setup will do for your powerband.

If you want, you can download the the FSM to get you cam timing right. When I did mine I had the intake cam off one tooth so the ****er didn't want to start and when it did it ran like ****. Now I have to exhaust cams, we'll see if she starts this time around on the first try, when I put the motor back in.

i already have the FSM, only reason I asked this question is that i have a complete KA24DE thats dead in my basement, found a buyer for the exhaust cam, and I don't know which one to send him, since i mixed them up when i took apart the engine

lol

see, smurf said orange is exhaust. maybe it is for his engine. apparently it is for a lot of peopls engines. But for mine (and a couple others, who I have talked to) this is not the case. For us... it was trial and error. I installed mine with orange on the intake and green on the exhaust and the lobes line up perfectly with JWT's website, which shows you exactly how they should line up.

If you switch them you will have bent valves and a severly screwed head.
