newbie j30 question

i just bought a 93 j30 at a police auction and im getting it running. i checked everything out today after i put a new battery in ( it looks like it sat for a year or so) . started right up, everything seems to be working except the passenger rear power window.should assume its the motor? or is there some things i can check before i rip the door panel off and replace the motor. i havent gotten a shop manual for this car and it has no manual.any help would be appreciated .also i gotta change all the belts tomorrow. anything else i should change while i have it apart?

J's are notorious for bad window and sunroof motors.

yah i just noticed the sunroof doesnt open all the way either.the other question i have isthe security light keeps blinking on the dash while the car is off . even when i lock all the doors.since i cant get the remote to work yet , i dont know what else to do , i cant find an alarm fuse to pull to make it stop. any suggestions?

If it sat for a year I would Change/flush all of the fluids and replaceall of the filters.

Check out fuzzycats.com it is a J-30 diy site and addresses the alarm/lock problem specifically. It has good instructions and some parts diagrams. It also addresses the headlight problem which I had and explains how to correct it.I have a wrecked J-30 as well as a functioning one I'd be willing to part with the rear door window motor for a small $35.00. Damn clean 93 there ..What did it cost at auction ??Ive thought about going to one of those here but never have.
