Post

Hello I just moved to Columbia Sc from Ohio about a week ago and I own a 90 240sx with a ka24e. Looking for 240 owners in the Columbia/Charleston area to learn more about the single cam set up. Planning on doing an chassis swap in the near future when I get settled since my body has cancer issues.

your more than welcome to hit me up directly at [email protected] looking for some 240 lover like myself lol

umm... didn't you say in another thread that your motor has 175k miles... Why would you put that in another body? Based on this, and your "advice" in the newbie thread, your logic is ridiculous...

ha ha ha well one is going to be for daily driving and the other one I'm rebuilding for turbo set up it's smart to always have a spare since those engine come cheap. Plus I can take my time rebuilding the other engine and don't have to worry about my 240 sitting for a while doing it. The engine in mine is complete while the other shell only has suspension, diff, Ka24e (without power steering and alternator hooked up ) but has 20k less than mine. I plan on redoing a complete rebuild up to 250-300 whp with safe running conditions. I still need my 240 to drive and I know my running engine has good compression. Thats my only reason.

Maybe I didn't give the best of advice because everyone has there own way of doing thing I know better than turbo a stock engine but I know most people are in a rush to gain that power and never put thought into doing a rebuild. I knew a few people that just want to turbo and have fun now instead of thinking of the long term affects of boosting even after explain what can happen so I kinda gave up on telling people since they can use their own minds and use common sense. Like how people always want to turbo they're engine but never consider if the diff can handle that load, or rebuilding the transmission either since it has the same mileage as the engine. Main reason why I'ven been loner in working with car. Only person I know that understand these thing is my girlfriends brother but he's a honda man.

It's an Ohio thing. A LOT of Ohioans are jackasses. Especially from Columbus.

Yeah Columbus had the worse drivers as well. But in SC has them beat I fear for my 240 every time I get on the road it's like they just have to drive down the street to get a drivers license. Hows it FL snappshoota living in the import race state of the south.

dont alot of the younger crowd go out to harbbison? i never been out there and was under the impression that its mainly young kids that get mommy and daddy to pay for their parts. if there are people in their late 20's to early 30's i might just have to swing out there one weekend.

I'm 27 myself and Mommy and daddy does nothing for my car ha ha. I think I have an idea where harbbison is. Is it anyway near that mall on harbbison blvd that all I'm familiar with.
