first, i buy the 89 from a little old lady(literally). its been sitting in her garage for a few years. its pretty clean she used to start it and drive it but it doesnt start anymore because battery died.

i buy it, my first mistake buying a car that doesnt start, a little starting fluid and a lot of time it starts. i drive to work it overheats i replace the radiator, and now it wont start. i been reading different post so now i have replaced the :spark plugs, fuel filter, used maf, used tps, new temp sensor, new 02 sensor, i will replace the thermostat, and upper and lower rad. hoses.

when i start it will run for 10 seconds and cut off.

now sometimes it starts but will not idle, if i press the gas hard it acts like it will cut off and when i take my foot off it will cut of so i am just revin it to keep it on for as long as my leg will last about 5min. now what shoud i do?

coolant temp sensor is right near end of fuel rail, next to throttle control, its just a wire going in but you can see it. also you can see a pic somewhere on here.

OMG, it worked. changed the fuel pump and it runs like a 240. i thought it was the fuel pump at first but after it was starting and i actually drove it, i was thinking no not fuel pump cause it is starting and i could drive it.

2 side notes. first the o ring for fuel pump was streched out and i could not wait til monday to go to dealer so i just cut it to fit. i should have krazy glued it or taped it together but i just put it in there and it is workin so far.

second. since the car had been sitting for a few years, there was a lot of sludge in fuel tank i just scooped some out with my hand. i will try and get more out when the tank is not full.

Thank You very much guys, i was at wits end.
