Ok guys. I hope this isn't some form of blasphemy but I'm coming over from e46 fanatics. Had '01 330ci conv. for many years and totaled it. Have owned Nissan but never Infiniti and I'm about to purchase either a '05 Q45 or a '06 M35.

My question: is the q45 nav and technology user friendly for Bluetooth phone and easy navigation use or do I need to go for the newer technology that was introduced with the M?
I want comfort and navi/communication technology but I'm concerned (after driving both) the M may not have the sedan ride I'm looking for over the long term.

Any wisdom on this purchase decision? Dealers are useless since i already know more about the used cars than they do. Really appreciate your thoughts.

Welcome to NICO! To answer your question, I've only driven an '05 M45 and the tech package on that was sweeter than was in my 08 Altima coupe. The feel of the navagaion was very easy and it sync up via BT to m friends phone easy. If I were you I would get the M and if the ride bothers you, a simple suspension upgrade in the future would fix that.

I'm not sure the Q45 supported BT, IF it did I doubt it would compare to the functionality of cars offered in the last 3-4 years.

As far as I know, the technological innovations and build quality outpace the final-generation Q. I suspect tire selection has a larger effect than most people consider, so if the M ride is anywhere close to what you're looking for, I'd say go for the newer platform and outfit it with some premium tires.
