just picked up a 07 5at g35 coupe and was interesting in modding it. was wanting to do all the basic bolt on's spacer exhaust intake etc. just wondering if it would hurt my transmission and would i have to get the car tuned?? thanks

Welcome to Nico. To answer your questions. It would not hurt your transmission. Also to get the best out of the mods the tune is always a good idea.

See what others how to say about it.

Welcome to Nico!!!

Don't recall anybody reporting a CEL from a properly installed bolt-on, but we will see who chimes in.

installed all my mods my self never got a CEL... and i did reset my ECU after my spacer install... havent got a tune. If I was to reccomend just one mod it would be a 5/16 spacer... it really helps the mid range power in the g35. Plus you get a new engine sound once you hit the mid band if you going were going to spend $200 on an intake... spend it on a spacer first.

For an 07 auto coupe, I'd recommend getting a 5/16th plenum spacer, Stillen PoPcharger, Z-Tube, and a good CAT-Back exhaust.

What does that mean

I don't do it because I hate sounding like a salesman constantly.

BTW, email me. We need to get one of these on at least 1 of your Gs. We can work out the details.

predictable!

Nate, there was another thread that after reading the responses, you would be convinced that the kit had no effect. That's what I was referring to. I still plan on adding yours, but still have no mod money........now, I need to buy my daughter a new battery.

Very subjective and based on theory, not application.

"Placebo Effect" can only be claimed for a certain percentage of people before it becomes far too statistically unlikely.
