newbie here quick question about my new altima

hey guys i just bought a 2006 altima s 2.5 special edition. i was wondering if theres anything that i need to look out for as far as probs and issues everyone has. its still under warranty and currently has 58k miles on it. so i figure if there are any issues with it that i dont know about i could go ahead and get fixed with my warranty? also i dont know if all trannys do this but sometimes it feels like my transmission is slipping kinda of like a clutch is going out but its an automatic. it doesnt do it all the time and seems to be only when i get between 45-55 but ive never driven an altima before so im not sure if this is normal. Thanks in advance! o and im thinking of getting a grill but i was wanting an active tuning grill but who knows when those will be sold again. looks like i missed out on those.

I'm going to put my money on the "slipping" just being the CVT next time your on the highway slowly press the gas pedal down and you'll notice that it "retards" the timing making the rpms go up a bit. It does this first to prevent from constantly down shifting you can really notice it while going up a hill. but if that's not it then i have no idea you'll have to record it doing it or describe it more in depth

Ive got a 2003 Altima and it does the same thing.its just ur not used to the cvt trans i thought the same thing wen i bought mine..im zachary by the way..im a nissan tech if u need anything email me at

thanks bro! how hard was it to install hids on your altima? i bought some but i havent had a chance to put them on yet

You have 03 with CVT ?!

My 06 had a problem with the driver side window. When u did the auto up it would hit the top and then go back down.
