I received one key with my 04 G35. I asked the Nissan dealership today what a new key would cost, he told me $115 dollars for the key, then $50 dollars to program it.Anyone know of a way around this? Is there a person or company that would sell me a blank key maybe? I wouldnt mind paying the dealership to program it if I must.Or where I could find a programed key for far less than what the stealership charges?Any help would be greatly appreciated.Danny

Hey there and Welcome to Nico, congrats on the new to you G!

Due to the security programming there is no way to program a NATS key for without Consult and access to the secure website that only the dealer can access. There is an alphanumeric code that must be put into the site that is in your BCM and it requires an numeric code to allow the key programming to be completed.

You can buy an Infiniti or Nissan key from Ebay and have the stealership reprogram it for $50.

Thank yall for the replies. I went to ebay and found the keys for 10 dollars. Now to find a local locksmith to program one, if not, I hope the stealership will program it for me. I have this feeling they may refuse if I dont buy it from them.

Thanks again.Dan

If they refuse to program it for you, they are STUPID. I work at a dealer and I would never turn away work. I install customer supplied parts all the time. If the local dealer won't do it, then take it to the next closer dealer.
