I've seen Infiniti G35 cars that just say "Skyline" on the rear and look great. I've actually seen two of the same, blueish teal, color.

Is this car an actual skyline? Or just body/engine mods? Where can I get one? Explain it all basically...

I'll apologize ahead of time for any redundancy this post may cause...

Ok...so then the "skyline" badges and stuff are just aftermarket mods?

I looked at the car up close and there are some radical differences between a G35 and the "Skyline"

as far as i know, the G35 and the V35 skyline share the same qualities as far as engine specs, drivetrain, and weight. only differences may be aero (if any). i'm pretty possitive if the dude changed his badges to JDM badges, he probably put of aftermarket aero or modified the engine or something. otherwise, its the same dam thing... imo, compared to the older skylines, i hardly consider the v35 as a skyline... no inline-6?... and not even a turbo option? pfff...

I have seen a few too. I do believe it is just adding the badges cause I even asked a guy once if he imported that from Japan and he said, naw it is a G35.

They are mostly on the coupes anyway.

And the LHD wasn't a dead giveaway that it wasn't a Japan spec car?

You'd be amazed how many times I get asked if I "converted" my R32 to a RHD.

What makes me laugh is people who ask that right after telling me how much they love the Skyline and how it's their favorite car in the world, yet they don't know simple, obvious things like that.:P

Actually, that is, in theory, correct.

As of right now, there are no Inifinti dealers, perse in Japan. All Infinitis are imported. Just like the Eclipse. They aren't sold over here, so they are all imported, and dealers charge STUPID amounts of money for them.

Case in point. A 1995 Eclipse GS-T with an auto transmission, a set of 16" wheels and a cat back sold for $11K last year.

So, yeah.

So, a 2G DSM is the "Skyline" of Japan? That's just......sad.
