Hi all,

Just bought an '06 coupe, silver, gorgeous thing. Haven't noticed any smoke, hope my engine is good... I'll be checking oil regularly after reading here though!

I don't have the Nav system in mine, was wondering if anyone's installed a different system, cheaper, that sort of thing, how difficult it is...

I also wonder if the dealers will install the Nav system only, or do you have to get the full premium package? And what that might cost..

Wife wants GPS, leans toward factory, cost might dissuade her though... :-)

Thanks!

btw what a car!

FInally found a site that told me the factory option is $2200... couldn't be much different to add it later... geez that's high...

I'll put in a Garmin! :-)

There could be additional wiring and sensors to have to deal with as well as the unit and parts themselves. Yes, you are probably much better off in the long run getting a portable.

Another option is to get a new stereo head deck that has GPS built in. The change is not cheap, as it's $300 just to get the correct console/AC board, plus the cost of the stereo. But it will be a slick install
