hey guys whats goin on? my names shawn, i'm a newbie here, lookin to make some friends and learn some stuff about my 240. i come from a muscle car background and this is my first venture into the import world. I picked up my 240sx about 3 months ago now, i'm the second owner of the car. i've redone the whole car, so mechanically and visually, its perfect. its stock motorwise, but thats the way i want it. it has enough punch, as this is my every day car. i have pics of the car every step of the way from when i bought it till today, i'm not sure if you guys wanna see them or not? anyway, here she is when i got it, parked next to one of my mustangs:

and today:

let me know what you guys think!

Not my cup of tea...but from the pix looks like a very clean body. I just don't like anything about it...paint, rear wing, wheels, 4x4, etc...

But its a clean car.

should have kept the original red paint. Lose the stripes. people here are not too kind with that stuff but then its your car. like what they say, drop with coilovers and get better wheel spec.

The car looks good man. You definitely made it your own. Take peoples responses with a grain of salt though. Be ready to be flamed for not being stock, slammed, and wingless. I think you could use some new wheels and a little bit lower. Welcome!

Remember, its YOUR car. Keep it YOUR car.

i recommend putting some cash into at some new shocks and springs. or, if you've got the cash, some coilovers.

btw. thanks for reminding me. i got my s13 3 months ago today. i think i'm gonna go give it a big hug. and if these clouds clear up a wash too.

yeah after lookin through the forums here i kinda figured my car wouldn't really fit in, but, its perfect in my eyes. as for lowering, its kinda pointless in my area, i would lose all driveability. see, i have a few mustangs, the only reason i bought this car was because it was a good looking 4 cylinder, and it gets great gas back and forth from work. thanks for the compliments on the bodywork, i made sure to take care of every single dent, and i'm not sure if anyone noticed, but i also shaved off the antenna. seems to be that you guys like single color paint jobs better, but, i was brought up the wilder the better.

by the way, rims are NOT staying on the car. but i was desperate to get ride of the tear drop rims on it, so i had these laying around. when i get a bit more cash, i'm gonna try and get a set of black 5 spokes, 16" with low pro's

that is the most important thing, that its good in YOUR eyes. if you try to appeal to the masses, you may end up with a sick car, that you absolutly hate in every way. and a lil lower wont loose driveability.

Paint looks fine. Lowering and Wheels and I think it'll look awesome. Seeing as your circumstances though, you don't feel like going that route. :PAnywho, nice car, keep us updated if you change anything.

id definatly like to lower it, its just that the roads around here are pretty s***ty... you almost NEED a truck to get through most places. i'm planning on moving in a few months to a rural area, so if that happens, it WILL be lowered.

Meh, with a drop, and some nice wheels it wouldnt look half bad.

16's with Low Pro's? No need for low pro's like that on a 240
