Hi all. I've been browsing here for a while but never really had the time to sit down and type.I bought my 'new' 'vert about a month ago. I'll have to register it here. It's a 1994 240sx se. I really love it. It needed extensive work, but we've been working on it and now is a drivable car. It had no brakes or power steering, among other things so I feel it's gone pretty well. If it goes through, this is a pic of when I first brought it home. It has since been washed and waxed a few times as well as some brand new tires and a paint job on the wheels. Before you laugh at me for painting the rims let me tell you the people that had the car before me neglected every detail of cleanliness and had sprayed the wheels with a hideous silver spray and didn't clean or prep them first, and there was sand and small pebbles embedded in the paint. I can't roll in such a SWEET ride with such a bad paint job on the wheels! I have to run for now, but wanted to 'break the ice' so to speak. Hope to converse with you soon! Sayward

Welcome to the family. Thanks for not making me bust your balls for not posting pictures. However, more pictures would be great - especially after it's all cleaned up.

Welcome to the world's best vert forum... make sure you get into the registry at the top of the page. Don't feel bad about the rims.. we've seen much worse.... you could have someone dismount the tires and put paint stripper on them and then pressure wash them... may take the clear coat off, but you could always respray that. Good luck with your project, keep us updated..

Hey again all. Sorry it's taken me so long to get back with you. When I first posted I had washed my car but hadn't taken a new photo. The next day-after hours of washing and waxing- my car was covered in pollen and dust. I am finding the black finish quite a project to keep clean. This morning I exchanged the cracked expansion tank and the car looked fairly clean under the heavy dew, so I snapped a few pics. The water just beads up on the wax coating, so that's pretty cool.

It also shows the wheels, as I stated before I had painted them- the paint is newly chipped from taking the tires off when I had some more brake work done, and I haven't had time to touch them up.

Under the hood, after the installation of the new expansion tank.

This is the back view. I'll have to post some pictures with the top down next time.

I'm thoroughly loving this little car. So is everybody else. People think it's a new car, they don't believe it's 13 years old! Gotta run for now. I hope this pics go through.

Addendum: I added one too many of the same pic....sorry. ALSO: I've registered my 'very in the database if anyone wants to check it out.
