Hello,

I just signed up to this forum under the direction of some people from another forum I frequent. I am by no means a car buff. I know little to nothing about them. Anyhow here is my story. My brother got this car a couple of months ago. He had a 76 Datsun that was a POS and someone traded him STRAIGHT UP the Datsun for this car. He hasnt done anything else to the car. The pictures I am about to show you is how the car was the day we got it. Anyways, its just been sitting in my front yard for a couple of months now. Ive driven it a few times here and there and it is absolutely a blast to drive. Now, my brother recently moved away to another state. He couldnt bring this car with him so he gave it to me. Now I want to try and sell it, but I dont know anything about it. The only thing my brother and I know about it is that its a 93 240sx with a SR20DET engine and i think a stage 2 clutch. Thats it. I was wondering if any of you could decipher any other mods from the pictures I am about to show you. I want to sell it but I dont know what its really worth and at what price I should start asking. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! If you would like any more pictures, please do not hesitate to ask.

why would anyone who knew anything about it tell you anything? the people on here are always willing to pic up an awesome car for less than its worth.......

PS clearly there are several things done to it. look at it side by side with a stock 240 and use your brain for 2 seconds.......

Wow. That's a pretty clean s13. I definitely wouldn't sell it, but you could probably get between 5500 and 6500 dollars for it. As for deciphering mods, i'm not a real expert but i'm sure the real fanatics will start posting shortly. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

I'm curious as to what seats are in there.

I'll buy it from you for $1000. Picked up.

Really depends on a few things. Check the frame rails, all around the strut towers, around glass, under break booster, spare tire well, etc for rust. If it has rust, depends on severity and location. Also depends on how nice the swap is and how well it runs. You should try to find some local meets and go ask people that can take a look at it in person.

First off, no, you couldnt get a nice paint job for 1k. Yes you could get A paint job for 1K, but I wouldnt say nice.

As to the 1000 bucks he offered. I think he offered 1k for the car, not the seats. The only seats worth that much are brand name racing seats.

Nice car. Aftermarket seats. SR20DET motor, looks stock. You can guess the strut bar. Engine damnpener. Cant tell anything from the hub or steering wheel. Gauge. Cage. Looks like it was lowered 2", probly from springs. Has clear corner blinkers. Everything I'm saying you can tell by just looking at it. Theres nothing anyone on here car say different then what you can see.

Thanks for the replys guys. Unfortunately I probably will get rid of this car. It just doesnt make sense for me to keep it. Like I said im not a car guy or a nissan guy. lol I have bills and I probably could use the money even more. I already have a good car I drive and on top of that, this car wont pass SMOG. Thanks for the replys.

glad to see you took my advice! like i said previously, try to put it up on craigslist for like 7k and try to entertain offers. ppl will definately lowball (although i'm sure 1k offer was just a joke) wait until a serious offer of like 6k and i think that is a very fair price (for you). good luck w/ the sale, but i hope you somehow end up falling in love and becoming a 240 fan and keeping it...a lot of ppl out there are probably dying for what you have so you should definately consider keeping it.
